Eight gold medals for Michael Phelps

I've caught the Olympic Fever! Especially Micheal Phelps fever! He is just unbelievable! I remembered this poem that I read a few years back and searched the internet for it. I think the line "To realize the value of one millisecond: Ask the person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics" is very applicable to his 7th race, where he beat Serbia-Montenegro's Milorad Cavic by one-hundredth of a second! To Realize The Value of Time...

(author unknown)

To realize the value of one year:
Ask a student who has failed a final exam.

To realize the value of one month:
Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of one hour:
Ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of one minute:
Ask the person who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize the value of one second:
Ask a person who has survived an accident.

To realize the value of one millisecond:
Ask the person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics.

Time waits for no one. Treasure every moment you have.
You will treasure it even more when you share it with someone special.

Giants - Dodgers Game Today!

Today is the 3rd day that the Dodgers are in the Bay Area to play against the Giants at the AT&T stadium in San Francisco. Brings back memories of not too long ago when my parents were visiting us, and my dad bought tickets for us to watch the game. Yup, he lucked out that the Giants were playing the Dodgers during their trip to the Bay Area!

Being from San Francisco, my husband and I were rooting for the home team. However, I could not help but hope that the
Dodgers would win that day so that my dad's day would be complete! And yes, the Dodgers did win that day!

My dad was so excited the night before the game!

We arrived at the AT&T Stadium early so he could watch the Dodgers warming up.

Let the games begin!!!!!!

We got pretty good seats huh!
